Huib Soutendijk has recently joined Wales to open a New York office to serve clients and generate new relationships in the Northeast. Huib has known Llew Haden, President of Wales, for many years and has collaborated with him in a number of business areas throughout the years.
Prior to joining Wales, Huib was Chairman and CEO of the Northern Trust International Banking Corp. New York, a banking subsidiary of the Northern Trust Company, Chicago. In that capacity, Huib worked with clients, banks, corporations, and individuals, to do business abroad and the same doing business in the United States. Huib’s career with the Northern Trust exposed him to all matters of finance, operations, systems, client relationships, and employee mentoring. Since leaving Northern Trust, Huib has consulted with small businesses in New York and Long Island on strategy. Huib’s finance, leadership and counseling skills make him a natural fit at Wales.
Huib lives in Bronxville, New York, with his wife Kathy, an art dealer. Huib was born in the Netherlands and came to the United States when he was two. He has an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business Administration.
